Has it really been 2 1/2 weeks?

We are finishing our third week with little Elijah in our home. What a week it has been. I am finding as the now-mother of 3 children that 3 children require a lot more energy than 2 did. The days consist of feeding, bathing, changing diapers and playing. (All this being done on just a few hours of sleep) We have been really spoiled with assistance from grandparents. My mom spent the first week with us and then Dan's parents joined us when my mom went home. Dan's dad left on Saturday and Debbie is now here with us for as long as I can beg her to stay. It has been so nice having the company and the extra set of hands to help. We are adjusting well. Dan is really busy with school, but puts on his super-dad cape when he gets home. The kids will sit by the window all afternoon watching for him- they love their daddy. Dan and Debbie are both gracious in helping with the night shifts.  I find that all is well when I can get at least one good leg of sleep. I can really stay up all night watching episodes of House Hunters and holding Elijah. He is awake as can-be at night and I can't help but hold him. He is quite nocturnal.

Corom and Noelle are loving their little brother. Corom just likes to love on him and Noelle is constantly asking to hold him and to help out where she can. We have been trying to get out here and there to get the kids back into routine. (Really-whatever routine is these days) We have to keep a close eye on the kids because sometimes the squeezes are a little too tight or our 3 year old will decide when no one is watching that she can pick the baby up by herself. (Sigh) I know that in time Elijah will become a little less breakable and the siblings will be able to love on him as much as they want! At least they are interested and like him!

I hope you enjoy the pictures! I will try to update frequently as Elijah is changing daily. He is the sweetest little baby. We are enjoying having him in our home. There is nothing sweeter than a brand new baby! Thank you all for you love, support, cards, meals, etc. We appreciate all of your thoughts and support!

Noelle is now doing a little community center dance class with her friends!

These pictures were taken at our block party today! Fun times!

Even though our kids have four legs, instead of two, I have to agree with you about them needing more energy!

The pictures of little Elijah are adorable!! And Noelle looks like she's having more fun in the tractor than Corom. Is that a tractor???
