Life With Two Kids

So often I get the question, "So...is it difficult caring for 2 small children?" Hah! I always want to say! Of course it is!!! I find that my life is now 100% devoted to caring for my children's needs. (Cooking, changing diapers, wiping noses, park trips, bath times, etc.) Up until having Corom, I was still working part-time as a manager and enjoying my part-time "me" time. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love my job at Tricks more than just about anything else. Parenting 2 children has now replaced life as I once knew it and yes, it is difficult! I often dream about times when I was only responsible for me. It was so much easier then. I must say, however, that now that I have tasted the sweetness of full-time motherhood, I am so grateful for this special time at home with my children.

The other day Nikki and I were talking about this and reflecting on how much parenthood can change a person. Nikki commented on how unique this time of our lives is- in that it truly teaches us to be selfless and to sacrifice our own personal desires. This is a time that builds character. Our children only hold our hands for a brief time. I love thinking about how mothering small children fits into the "big picture" of our existence here on earth. Such a short time, but so important! It helps me put the day-to-day things into perspective and to smile at the lessons that my kids teach me.

I thought you all might enjoy some recent pics. This is just a little glimpse into our world. I can't help but bring my camera along with me wherever I go. I just want to freeze time and the only way I know how to do this is to take lots of pictures! Noelle and Corom brighten up our home! Here's to parenthood and to the children who teach us so much about love and who make us better people!

I always remember how obsessed you were with painting your nails. Even when we were really young! Noelle is going to be the same way!!! Funny. I'm going to call you as soon as I get the kiddos to bed...

Great reminder! Thanks Tami! I love the pictures! I think Anna and Noelle have a lot in common. I can't keep up with her requests for pedicures! How fun. You're little family is so cute.
