Halloween Week is Here!

Picking the Perfect Pumpkin! (Say that 5 times fast!)

Such a new adventure-he spent a long time feeling, poking and patting the pumpkins. Couldn't resist the picture!

Corom loves a good stroller ride!

Noelle's finger-painted creation!

The final products of our day. We stayed up really late carving these- it takes a long time, but we are enjoying having carved pumpkins for the week!

So, after a long week of battling the stomach flu (all of us) we decided we needed to get out and do something fun as a family! We mixed a little "Dan fun" in with "Mom and Kid fun" and came up with a really adventurous day. We found a pumpkin patch up in Farmington. Dan had a recommendation from the Land Rover dealership to take our car 4 wheeling on a route from Bountiful to Farmington. (The Skyline Trail) The promise was that it wouldn't be too crazy for the kids and I. So, off we went. Our little family of 4 being passed up by deer hunters, dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. It was, all in all, a bumpy, bumpy beautiful drive taking us through the Bountiful Canyons. All of the trees are turning- such a great setting to get us in the mood for the pumpkin patch. To top it all off, for the full picture of our ride, we got the "Barbie Diamond Castle" soundtrack in the mail and played it over and over again for the full 2 hour ride. We sang the whole way! Noelle kept saying, "HOLD ON TIGHT!" and "Be careful daddy!"

We picked our pumpkins and went home to paint (Noelle's) and carve our pumpkins. We are looking forward to a busy fun week with Trunk or Treating, Trick or Treating, parties and preschool. We wish you all a fun week and
Happy Birthday to Nikki on Tuesday!

Stomach flu? That stinks! Brian is coming to the U on Wednesday or Thursday to recruit. He'll call you! Wish I could come, but we'll see you soon!
