SPRING BREAK

I don't think there are any words sweeter these days than "Dad's on spring break!" To celebrate having Dan home I went on an over-night get away to Park City with a bunch of girls from our ward. We shopped, went out to eat and stayed up way, way, way too late. I seriously felt like I was 16 again. It was so nice to get away and Dan was wonderful about having the kids. I really have the most capable husband. He can run the show any day, which made it easy to really relax and enjoy myself. He even spent Friday night watching Strawberry Shortcake with Noelle. (what a dad!)

We also had a special visitor over the weekend- the "Chupe Fairy." All of our neighbors have been updated on this huge accomplishment. Noelle, now being 3 really needed to rid of her pacifier habit. (We call them chupes) She is so attached that we often find her hiding behind drapes or under her bedspread during the day stealing some time with it. We have been building up the fairies coming and taking her chupes in the night and leaving a gift. All week long she kept saying, "Tell them to leave my chupes alone!" Finally, Saturday night she was ready. In the morning she found them gone and that the chupe fairies had left her a new pair of pink crocs. (Only this shoe girl would be so thrilled) All was well until the middle of last night when she woke up hysterical crying for her chupe. She finally calmed down when she told me, "You tell the chupe fairies to have the Easter Bunny to bring my chupes back and put them in my Easter basket." With this said, she was content and was able to fall asleep. We'll see how tonight goes.

Other than that, we are anticipating a quiet week. Dan is off fishing tomorrow, but we have a pretty long to-do list accumulated for the week. (Taxes, cleaning, etc.) We spent the day at the the DMV transferring our licenses and even had to take the written test. (YUCK!) We did pass! We were, by way of update, able to retrieve our files from the crashed computer thanks to a wonderful neighbor and now have a shining new computer, so we are back up and running! Hope all is well with everyone.
