A few highlights from our week are as follows:
I completed the second course of Wilton Cake decorating classes. I still can't figure out my oven temperature to successfully do the baking part. I know it is off and my cakes always crack! GRRRR! This week I was so frustrated that after having a cake crack on Wednesday morning I went to the Grocery Store and bought an undecorated one. All of the flowers on the top are royal icing and we learned the basket weave that night. (That was my wedding cake) I was pretty pleased with the final product! The final course is fondant and I am going to give myself a bit of a break before taking that one in October! It has been fun and I would recommend it to anyone.
We joined in on Jessica's family party. Ashley hosted a quaint Princess Tea Party for Jessica's birthday. It was really a family party with Noelle and Grace. The children ate croissants, fruit, veggies and dip on real china, dressed as princesses and Ashley made the most amazing cake complete with fondant royalty. Quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen.
These were taken last weekend on a hike to Silver Lake up Big Cottonwood Canyon

Sorry folks, my little crawler didn't get in on the pictures this week, I'll just mention that he is moving around the house all day, pulling up on things and getting into things. He has soooo much energy and the funniest little sense of humor. (And boy, can he eat!) The highlight of my week with Elijah has been teaching him "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree!" Here's to another week! Hope all is well- can't wait to see all of you Sacramento family/friends! Have a great week!

I think Marco caught whatever Corom had. He's been sick with fever, throwing up since Friday. Bummer! Can't wait to see you guys!
yuck. Stomach flu must be going around. Lydia just had the same thing. Not fun for the little ones. (or for the momma's!) I LOVE your cake. Seriously. Sooo pretty!!!! Please tell me that we are going to see each other while you are here? WE HAVE TO! K, call me when you get a chance! Love ya!
The cake looks great!!! Next time you are at the grocery store, grab an inexpensive oven thermometer (like $2-$3) and stick in there...and then turn the oven on, set it for say 300, cause its easy to remember..and leave the thermometer in there to see what the actual temperature is, then set the oven accordingly. Should work.
Hopefully the kids get better soon, and you and Dan walk away not catching anything.
Tami, the cake looks AWESOME!!! I'd have to bake, or buy, at least three because I would get so frustrated with it and scrap it all.
