A night out on the town...

Every weekend I look forward to a night on the town, usually dinner and sometimes a little shopping. (Burritos, pizza, etc.) There is something so relaxing about having a night off of cooking/dishes and spending time together as a family. It is well worth the tab! We call it date night, though since we have moved here our date nights include 2 little people, one who we have to spoon feed and the other who just likes to talk alot! As much as I love spending time with them, I long for quiet time with Dan and a chance to talk about something other the kid-stuff. On Saturday night, our neighbor Ashley volunteered to watch the kids. (YEAHHHHH!) The kids are so comfortable at her house that they were happy as can-be when dropped off and the same when picked up. We went and had a yummy dinner and shopped for a baby gate. (a topic I'll save for another post) IT WAS FABULOUS! Today in church we were talking about the importance of strengthening marriages and spending time together. It is so important! So, a huge thank you to Ashley for allowing us to get out alone! I owe you!

hey you know the offer always stands for our house too! I realize we aren't next door but not that far out of the way. ;)

Good for you guys. I love love love date night! And as stay-at-home mommies we probably look forward to it more than our hubbies, but that's ok. :) Try trading with someone so that you guys can make it a weekly thing! :) Miss you guys!!!!
