Draper Utah Temple
Open House
It's funny how weeks can seem so busy, yet so uneventful. Such is my life-I suppose. We started the week by attending the Draper Temple Open House. We intended to photograph our trip, but found little opportunity for pictures. We met at a church building and watched an introductory video and then were shuttled up to the temple site. The church couldn't have picked a more gorgeous piece of property for the new temple. It sits in the hills overlooking the valley and is surrounded by the most amazing homes I have ever seen. As we toured the building I was struck by its simple, yet elegant decor. (Lots of golds, greens and browns) It was truly breathtaking. Noelle talks alot about getting married in the temple, so it was fun to show her the "inside" which she asks so often to see. She says she is going to marry her daddy in her married dress in the temple. She also suggested that we bring a Christmas tree in to decorate the temple. (Funny kid) The building had the most calming feeling. I love teaching Noelle about how important the temples are to our faith and our worship.
Noelle is now doing preschool on Mondays and Wednesdays. This was an off-week for me. We rotate and the weeks off are great. They talked about the letter P- (popcorn, princesses, pie) She is really getting curious about her letters, but doesn't quite match them to the sounds yet. We have enrolled her in a gymnastics class up north about 1/2 hour. It is a gym tied to Tricks back at home and has a really similar feel and curriculum. I walked in and felt at home- had to sign her up. She is now in a class by herself. (No longer parent participation) I am finding that she is pretty coordinated and familiar with the skills, but tends to wonder off and needs quite a bit of redirection. (She is still little) I love, love, love watching her enjoy the sport that has brought me so much joy!
Corom is getting really fast on hands and knees. He is like a little bolt of lightning- always on the move! He can happily entertain himself for hours as he explores the house. He has a silly little 2-toothed grin and a fuzzy little head of hair that is getting thicker. We can never keep it tamed. I am still struggling with odd sleep habits. He simply prefers not to sleep, though is now down for a nice little nap. Noelle and I have taken a nap almost everyday this week. The snowy weather just makes me sleepy. We have started Corom on real finger foods. He is such a tiny little guy, in the 1 percentile for height and 2 percentile for weight in his age. So, we thought he was a picky eater, he was just holding out for the good stuff. Now he won't stop. Anything he can chew with 2 teeth, he will eat. (Peas, pasta, fruit, toast, turkey, tortilla, etc.) He seems so much happier!
Tonight we are doing a movie night- we've been renting all of the Disney princess movies for Noelle. We are on week #3 of Friday night movies and have watched Cinderella, Mulan and the Little Mermaid. I forgot how much I love The Little Mermaid. Noelle sings all of the songs. "I've got bananas and apples of plenty" -(I've got gadgets and gismos of plenty-sings Ariel) We are finally seeing some sun today, so I'm hoping for a nice weekend. It has been such a cold week! Sorry there aren't any pictures this week. Our camera has been in the car- unless I can grab it quickly, moments are lost. Hope you all are doing well! California family, we miss you! Noelle keeps asking when we can come out again.

Don't feel bad about Corom and his size...Violette is small too, maybe it has something to do with the day they were born. What are his stats or at least weight,Vi is 16 lbs.
Sounds like an eventful week! I don't know when we'll get together, but we've got out skype up and running again!
Oh i wish you guys were closer! Anna would love preschool, gymnastics and princesses with Noelle. Hopefully we'll be able to meet up over the summer! Hope your weather is better than ours has been!
FYI - we are happy to share the princess' in our DVD library anytime!
Take some pictures of gymnastics, ok? I'd love to be there with you. We'll have to make some plans soon! Love you.
