St. Patrick's Day Week

Well, it is 10:00 and I had intended on taking the kids out to the storage unit today, but they are in a creative zone and don't want to be disturbed. Our front closet has a great big wire shelf in it with all of our food storage. Apparently this morning it is a "store". Noelle is the store keeper and keeps bossing the boys around. They, of course are in heaven that Noelle is playing with them, and will do whatever she says. This last week has been a roller coaster. I started out last Monday with some sort of bug. It felt like the flu, but I don't know. I ambitiously tried to execute the joyschool St. Patrick's Day party with my group. We host the other 3 groups when it is our turn. I was feeling totally overwhelmed by just getting myself together that morning and had a break down right in the middle of the party, in front of everyone. I felt like I'm sure my kids do, when they are sick and I try to take them out. I just felt rotten. But, it did turn out cute and the kids had a blast. By Wednesday, my sickness had moved to my head and I got one of those migraines that kept me in bed for the day. Emily scooped my kids up and gave me a break until the medicine kicked in. I am normally in good health and my kids cannot stand to see me down, as a matter of fact, Noelle with have nothing of it. She will yell at me and demand I be my normal self.

By Thursday I was feeling much better. Friday, we had a preschool field trip at the planetarium. Such a normal day, I thought it would be. We loaded up and followed our friends to the parking garage. Once in the planetarium, we were asked to stand in the lobby and for our tour guide. There were 2 classes full of preschool kids and their parents. Corom asked if he could get out of his stroller. He was running and skipping around with his friend right there where we were waiting. Again, this is normal. No harm, I thought. I looked over and he was face down on the ground. I said, "You spilt your goldfish Corom." I started to pick them up and went to lend him a hand to help him up. When I turned him around to help him to his feet, he was covered in blood, with a big gash in his forehead. He had been running, and was looking behind him at his friend. When he turned his head, he ran right into the corner of a desk. Security came and there happened to be a pediatrician there with his own family. He came to our aid and helped to assess, clean and bandage it up. He instructed us to go strait to the ER. Again, Emily took my other 2 and I was off to go get Dan to take Corom to the hospital. I am quite a chicken and Dan is brave; I guess at the hospital, Corom was all smiles. Primary Children's hospital is pretty cool! He received 11 stitches and has pretty much been restricted to the house for the weekend, in fear that he might trip again and break it open. His best friend brought him treats and a balloon and he keeps talking about Moroni coming to help him at the planetarium. (A book of mormon figure- funny huh?)

As for this week, we are preparing to go on another Idaho trip to try to find a place to move. Dan's parents are flying in on Friday and we will drive up together. Other than that, it should be a normal week. Hope you all are doing well, I know this isn't a normal happy post, but one worthy of documenting!
